Pussy Galore

An experimental typeface called ‘Pussy Galore’ designed in 1994 under the Women’s Design + Research Unit by LCC Graphic Design lecturers, Siân Cook and Teal Triggs with Liz McQuiston is currently on display at the Pompidou Centre, Paris. The typeface and accompanying explanatory poster are also included in the permanent collection of the Pompidou’s Musee National d’Art Moderne.
The new exhibition, ‘elles@centrepompidou: Women Artists in the Collections of the Centre Pompidou’ brings together more than 500 works by over 200 women artists from the early twentieth century to present day including Frida Kahlo, Sophie Calle, Louise Bourgeois, as well as theGuerrilla Girls.
